GIRLS SWIM AND DIVE 16TH AT NOTHERN REGION; KELLI STOCKTON WINS REGIONAL TITLE.

NORTHERN REGION CHAMPIONSHIPS (GIRLS):
Kelli Stockton won the Northern Region Dive Championship, and Matty Ferguson qualified for the Virginia State meet in the 100 Breaststroke to lead the Lady Rebels to a 16th place finish at the Norhtern Region Swim and Dive Championships.
The Lady Rebels had a strong performance at Regions, as every qualifying individual and relay qualified for finals and scored for the team.
The 200 Medley Relay team of Rachael Wray, Matty Ferguson, Natalie Dillinger and Marla Surette finished in 12th place in the region.
Kelli Stockton brought home the title in the Dive event with a personal best score of 429.40 in the 11 Dive event.
Freshman Natalie Dillinger scored with an impressive 14th place finish in the 100 Yard Butterfly event. Natalie improved by over 2 seconds on her previous best time in the event.
Freshman Matty Ferguson also performed impressively, scoring in 2 events. In the 100 Yard Freestyle, Matty posted a personal best time of 55.76, trimming three quarters of a second off her previous best time and finishing in 10th position. In the 100 Yard Breaststroke, Matty again posted a season best and state qualifying time of 1:07.30, good for 4th in the Northern Region.
The 200 Freestyle Relay team of Rachael Wray, Marla Surette, Natalie Dillinger and Matty Ferguson posted another season best time of 1:45.37 to finish 15th in the Region.
Lady Rebels Kelli Stockton (Dive) and Matty Ferguson (100 Breaststroke) qualified to participate in the Virginia AAA State Championships.
